Kenya Kiundi
Our Kenya coffee origins from the cultivation region Kiundi in the
southern highland. Kenyan coffee mainly grows on an altitude of 1,500 -
2,100 metres. There are two harvests annually. Since only the ripe
coffee beans are harvested, it may happen that the entire plantation is
plucked up to seven times by hand. The first coffee trees came to Kenya
from Ethiopia in the 19th century. Today, coffee is cultivated on 1,300
large plantations as well as by 600,000 small farmers in cooperation.
Character & Taste:
Our Kenya Kiundi is a
premium, full-bodied coffee which excels due to its fruity, chocolate
aroma. Coffee lovers have a special relation towards the flavoured
premium coffees from Kenya with their slight acidity. In high-quality
blends you will find the „Kenya Kiundi“ as an acid carrier.
