Bombilla

Bombillas are suction tubes which are not known as such in Europe.

The form is comparable to a spoon. The shaft is hollow, like a straw, and the spoon has a filter on the top, like a tea strainer. All Paraguayanos drink their Mate tea with these bombillas out of cups or drinking horns, so-called "Gambas". This way you can drink any freshly-brewed loose tea directly with the bombilla without using a tea strainer. Naturally, it is also perfect for all mixed drinks or juices as it is spoon, straw and strainer all in one. The bombilla is made of light metal with various ornaments and can be cleaned easily.

It is not only a very practical device for daily usage, but also a real cult object.
