Cast, Iron & Glas

Cast iron

Cast iron teapots are still today produced following old traditions and models. These wonderful pots are very popular due to their longevity and their heat-preserving nature. They are also very low-maintenance as they
are coated in enamel on the inside.

Glas

In order to make glass, a blend of silicon dioxide, boroxide, sodium oxide, potassium oxide and aluminium oxide is melted in basins heated electrically or with gas to a temperature of approximately 1,650 °C. Glass receives its final form in moulds made of steel on rotating, air-blowing machines. After 12 to 24 forming steps, it finally reaches the cooling down process. The results are symmetrical, unstressed glass bodies, which can be used as glasses or containers.
